Hi, I’m Jessica Dory — an experienced Colorado photographer specializing in maternity, newborn, milestone, family, wedding, engagement, and branding sessions. I also have my own natural light photography studio in the South Denver area.

As a Mom of three and a certified birth doula, I know that the "in-between" moments are the ones that truly matter. I combine a Bachelor of Fine Arts perspective with a relaxed, lifestyle approach to create heirloom images of your pregnancy, newborn, and growing family. I shoot in your home, on location and in my natural light studio in Englewood. No stiff poses—just honest, artistic storytelling in the heart of Denver.

I serve families in Denver, Englewood, Lakewood, Greenwood Village and the greater Denver Metro areas with a warm, calm approach that makes even the busiest moments feel effortless and beautiful.

As a mom of two boys, family photos often feel disastrous, but with Jessica, somehow, someway, I’m left with the most beautiful pictures every time. I am always amazed and close to tears when I first get that link to the pictures. She’s so patient with my kids and has such a calming presence. Jessica has also done a newborn session for us; coming to our house and capturing the most beautiful moments. FAQs

What style of family & newborn photography do you offer?

I offer lifestyle and documentary photography. I love to capture genuine moments of interaction and document real life moments with your families. I do offer very light posing and prompting to get the best possible combination of images. I love to be creative and playful and it’s my biggest joy to create art for your family. I offer sessions in my studio, in your home and outdoor golden hour family and maternity sessions are also offered.

What is your photography experience and background?

Since I was a child I always loved creating visual images and art. I first did photography in high school and college and my first cameras were film! I have a Bachelor of Fine Art and always dreamed of running my own business. I started building my photography business in 2019 and never looked back. Prior to this I worked for many years as the assistant to the owner of a famous Denver restaurant and nightclub where I supported the owner in all manner of running the restaurant and venue.

What does the studio session involve?

The studio is a gorgeous natural light space where we can create images that are charming/boho, or minimalist and always unique. The studio is perfect for childhood milestones and I love to do cake smash and nursing and motherhood sessions. You also have access to my continuously expanding client closet as well as styling guidance.

How does it all work?

The first thing I love to do with every client is schedule a short 10 minute phone call to discuss what you are looking for from your session. This helps me to understand your needs in order to design the perfect session for your family or project. Once we talk I will send over several available dates/times and once you make the retainer payment you are on my schedule! From there we can discuss wardrobe, location and any other question that you have. I send my galleries within two weeks of your session date.

I do offer print products and can create a beautiful heirloom book or other products if you desire.
