Hi! I’m Jess Dory

A little about me

I’m grateful to have grown up in Colorado and now call South Denver home, where I live in a 1950s ranch with my three kids and two dogs. I have a Bachelor of Fine Art from CU Denver and have been photographing full-time for the past seven years.

Before photography, I spent four years working as a day-of wedding coordinator at a Denver venue, managing weddings large and small with a full team and kitchen. I loved making sure all the tiny details were handled so the magic of the day could unfold without a hitch.

Now I get to do the fun part from behind the camera.

I’m kind, perceptive, a little introverted, and very into a great party. I love getting in the middle of things, connecting with your people, chasing the good light, and catching the moments that happen when nobody is paying attention.

I’m also a kick-ass bartender.

My ideal couples are a little artsy, a little unconventional, and don't take themselves too seriously. Give me an eclectic venue, interesting details, good people, and a dance floor and I'm very happy.
