Hi! I’m Jess Dory

I am grateful to have grown up in Colorado. I have a Bachelor of Fine Art from CU Denver, I’m mom to 3 kids and 2 dogs and live in a 50’s ranch in South Denver.

I started doing photography full time 5 years ago but prior to that I worked for three years as the day of-wedding coordinator at a local Denver venue where I managed weddings large and small with a full team and kitchen. I love interacting and connecting with my clients as well as their friends and families. As the wedding coordinator I loved working to ensure the magic of the day could flow freely because all of the tiny details were attended to. I am kind, perceptive and an introvert who loves a great party…. I’m also a kick-ass bartender!

As a photographer I love to get in there and celebrate with you and your guests while I capture all the moments. I like to get in close and grab those detail shots and all the spontaneous moments that arise. My ideal client is a little bit artsy and fun and thinks a little outside the box like I do. My ideal venue is eclectic and intimate and has lots of fun details that we can incorporate into your portraits.
