Studio or in-home Session?Newborn Photography in Denver
Baby at a in-home newborn session in Denver metro area.
I absolutely love both in-home lifestyle newborn sessions as well as studio sessions. Many of my clients know exactly which they would prefer, but if you aren’t 100% sure about which might be best for your family, here are some thoughts to consider:
In home-session benefits
Having your photography session in your home is convenient and doesn’t require leaving the comfort of your own home after giving birth.
If you have other small children it can be easier for them to be in their own space with their snacks and toys at hand. If you are a first time parent it is one less thing to have to go out and do in the world during your precious postpartum time.
In-home sessions allow a fuller picture of your complete story during this time - I will look to capture your everyday life and the small, meaningful details that make your space uniquely yours along with your family in their element. We only need a few tidy rooms to create clean, natural images that feel true to your family.
I travel from Castle Rock to Broomfield and all along the Denver metro area. A reasonable travel fee may apply depending on your location.
In-home sessions can easily include your furry children!
In-home newborn sessions are authentically you!
Studio Session benefits
If photographing in your home feels overwhelming, or if you just lean towards a more simple clean style, the studio provides a calm, simple backdrop so the focus stays on you and your loved ones.
My Denver area studio is centrally located close to the I-25 and University or Hampden exits. This is a beautiful natural light space in Englewood, perfect for a photo session with your family and new baby.
We can keep it simple and artistic while documenting all the authentic interactions that occur during our time together. The light is good and you can leave all the tidying up to me. We can set up a completely minimal vibe if that’s your thing or we can incorporate my studio furnishings and accessories into your images. The studio has a couch, daybed with white quilt, antique cradle, wicker baby basket and various chairs. I also have some fun things for the older siblings such as a rocking chair and rocking horse, toys and books and my first toy camera as well! I always welcome and encourage families to bring any personal items such as blankets, books, stuffies and anything you might want to incorporate into your imagery.
Studio newborn sessions - sweet and simple!
If you are still on the fence reach out for a short consultation and we can work out the details. Either way you will never regret documenting these first precious moments in time with your family!
